International Boys’ Day celebrates all the positive elements that boys bring to their families and communities. It also highlights the issues and challenges that boys face as they develop.
The environment they grow up in, plus key adult role models play an extremely powerful role in shaping how boys value themselves, see the world and act. This determines their current and future success and wellbeing, and plays a major role in how our communities function for better or worse.
We seek to address these issues with education and awareness of the challenges boys face. We also offer suggestions that can help create the best outcomes possible for boys, families and the communities that we live in.
Our intention is to inspire boys, families and communities to engage and collaborate to address these issues, as well as create positive change and influence behaviours to make the world we live in a better place.
